Criteria for Images Submitted to the Jury
Copyrights Copyright information and/or the name of the artist should not be present on the images!
  • Identifying marks are to be left off the images so that the jury can base their decision on the merit of the art and not be persuaded one way or the other by who the artist is.
Number of images
  • 7 images
    • Must represent samples of the artist's work for the last 2 years.
    • For agents applying to the Art Show representing multiple artists, the agent must insure that each artist submits the appropriate number of samples.
  • Students do NOT need to pass through jury.
    • Students must include the name of their school on the application form but are not required to pass jury.
  • A maximum of 5 additional sample images of a show set up (presentation) may be sent.
    • This is only required if you are using additional displays / props to show your artwork.
Dimensions The largest side of each image should be 500 pixels
Resolution 72 dpi
File Format Baseline JPG (do not use progressive JPG format)
Compression Each image file size must be less than 400KB.
  • Please DO NOT zip your files. Upload each image file separately.
  • Additional information will be requested for each image.
File Name Include your name and piece title in the file name of each image
  • The name must be the same as the one specified on your application form, or we will not know how to associate the images and the application.
  • Example:
    • Jane Doe - Blue Dragons.jpg

UPLOADING YOUR IMAGES:

  • Your name is required to do an upload.
  • NO SPECIAL CHARACTERS in the file names! - Use only Alpha-Numeric characters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9)
  • The password is case sensitive.If the password you have doesn't work, contact Ingrid.
  • HTML, script and executable files can not be uploaded  (example: "htm", "php", "asp", "exe", "com", ".js"  etc.)
  • Files larger than 400 kilobytes should not be uploaded using this system.

Make sure you complete your application form and send it to the Dragon*Con Art Show Director of Sales. Images without application forms will not be juried.
